We have a successfully running LARP that started out small and has grown large over the years.  Our "organization" is rather loose and we have no official rules for guiding our staff and members.  We need to form a more formal organization with rules and guidelines and a level of accountability.  We're also looking to start a second organization for a separate new LARP and want to do it right the first time.  We're looking for charters, bylaws, and other similar documents from other LARP organizations.  We want to find what works for you and incorporate that into our organization.  If you have any such things, I'd really appreciate getting a look at them!

This might be the type of thing you're looking for:

A designer is expected to adhere to the immutables which, are as follows:

1) A designer must not serve alcohol at events, participants outside staff and the designer may bring their own if you permit. The designer may never partake in alcohol during an event they are running. This is an insurance requirement.

2) You must have an up to date safety kit on site to handle medical emergencies, one is available on loan if needed. We recommend you have someone trained in first aid on site.

3) Designers must pay a ten dollar fee per person, per event to cover insurance costs and administrative expenses.

4) Each participant must sign the standard Live Effect Liability form, if they are under 18 a guardian must sign the waiver as well. No credit for a event should be granted to a participant if they did not sign in. This is traditionally known as the sign up sheet at an event.

5) The primary calls, must be utilized as they apply to your system. Overall these are primarily the calls listed on the back of the normal Live Effects rule set, and the three count rule.

6) The rules of the game themselves may be changed (provided the calls remain the same) as the individual running the event sees fit, Live Effects, and no entity of Live Effects may claim possession of any portion of your rules or game design.

7) Welcome players from other Live Effects games and work with them to integrate themselves in to your game as a whole.

Cool Treat everyone with respect; obey all local laws and regulations.

9) Complaints about a particular design, or group under Live Effects can be relayed to corporate at plot AT Onlineeffects.com.

10) Support skill points earned at other Live Effects events, and those earned from partner events. It is the option of the designer to accept coupons and Live Effects discounts, although we highly encourage you do so to support our marketing efforts.

Camarilla's member handbook (including club consitution). Note: It's a monolithic beast that if you use you'll want to use carefully, same goes with the club constitution. Both can be found here: http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/documents.php

Amtgard's by-laws for the Burning Lands (each kingdom has their own): http://amtgardinc.com/blpages/rlbkandcorpora.html and a list of the kingdoms is here: http://amtgardinc.com/blpages/links.html

Belegarth: http://www.belegarth.com/documents/bylaws.pdf

TWENTIETH LEGION, INC.--BYLAWS: http://www.larp.com/legioxx/bylaws.html

SCA's bylaws: http://www.sca.org/docs/

If you really want to, you can wade through a Google search on the subject: http://www.google.com/search?q=LARP+bylaws

Hope that helps some.
